What are Hydraulic Cylinders used for?
Hydraulic cylinders can be used in heavy equipments or vehicles using hydraulic systems to perform work. Types of Hydraulic Cylinders
There is a variety of hydraulic cylinders, and all of them consist of a cylinder barrel (often with a cylinder bottom and a cylinder head), a piston and a piston rod. When the hydraulic fluid is pumped into the bottom of the cylinder, the piston rod starts moving outwards. When the hydraulic fluid is pumped of the cylinder, the piston rod moves back in.
There are two main types of hydraulic cylinders, tie rod cylinders and welded body cylinders.
