We are a Portuguese company that is a pioneer in RIM and S-RIM plastics manufacturing that in close cooperation and intense exchanges with engineering partners, has proven itself in detailed improvements for the technology and materials in use.
RIMSYS is a company with automotive experience working as a RIM service provider as well in consulting and procurement, we do not have any type of products, all our work is done under a confidential agreement.

We've been developing successful solutions for automotive manufacturers and suppliers, for small and medium lot sizes, our philosophy is based on Lean techniques and our priority is achieving fast and accurate delivery with the highest standards of quality, to satisfy the most demanding customer.

Along with the classic form of RIM and S-RIM Polyurethane processes we have developed a new material RIMPACT® based on DCPD monomer, that has even better mechanical and physical properties with a lower density and therefore reducing weight, while having an outstanding impact resistance. In spite of being a not reinforced material RIMPACT® is superior to R-RIM Polyurethane, we are using it for different customers and applications, but mostly for high quality automotive body panels and exterior components were chemical and wear resistance is a plus like battery cases.

Depending on parts geometry and expectations we can go from one of a kind to 10.000 parts per year, what changes is the type of mould chosen, we have mould engineering and manufacturing at very competitive prices. The materials used for the mould can vary from wood to aluminium depending on the lot size, we have developed our own low cost mould production so we are abble to comply even with very production runs.

Our moulding capacity is 3000x2000 mm and we have in house painting facilities, that allow us to supply A-Class surface automotive parts or primed parts only. We can also supply PUR (Polyurethane) structural or low density flexible foams and integral skin foams.
